Support Staff

Additional Information:

The Fort Vermilion School Division is hiring five "Elders/Knowledge Keepers" to support our schools. 

We would love to have representation from Dene Tha First Nation, Tall Cree First Nation, Beaver First Nation, Metis Nation, and the Mennonite Community. 

The intended outcome of this initiative is to strengthen the relationship between students, families and the schools through positive engagement.   For more information, please contact Natalie Morris, Supervisor of Learning Services - Connectivity, nataliem@fvsd.ab.ca.

Salary & Benefits:

• $1000 per month to complete at least 4 school visits each month
• additional honorarium and mileage for each school visit

Application must include: 

• Letter expressing interest in the position
• Letter of support from the nation/community you will be representing

Vulnerable Sector Check & Intervention Record Check:

• The VSC dated within 6 months, may follow your application, and must be presented as a condition of employment
• The IRC dated within 6 months, may follow your application and must be presented as a condition of employment only if you have children in your care now or have in the past
